Messy Church

This group is an ecumenical group especially for those in the community who cannot get to their own Church on a Sunday because of disability or transport difficulties. We meet on a Friday afternoon at 2pm, starting with tea/coffee and cakes, and then being led in by a different Church leader each month. We are always open to new members, and if you are physically unable to get there on your own, please contact the Minister as limited transport is available.

Gardening Club

We meet once a month on the second Monday of the month, at 1pm.  We have speakers, chat, and refreshments. We are a large and lively group, with over 30, mainly retired people attending. You are welcome to join us.

Adult Table Tennis

We meet twice a week, Mondays 8-10pm and Fridays 10am-12noon. We are

aimed at the over 50’s, a chance to keep fit, have fun, and socialize. We can

be a bit competitive too, with former champions among our number! – but

don’t worry, beginners are always very welcome.

Pilots

We are a youth group for school age children, meeting on a Friday   night with 4 to 11 year old meeting from 6-7.30pm, and those 11 to 14 years old meeting from 7.30pm-9pm. ‘Pilots’ is a national children’s organization, supported by the United Reformed and Congregational Churches, and we are Church based, but we’re open to all.

We do lots of different things – games, arts and crafts, working towards ‘Crests’, sharing together, and we have a drink and biscuit. We have a short prayer at the beginning end. ‘Crests’ are like badges, for completed different things that we work towards over a few weeks. Each half-term we follow a different theme as well, so what we do in the evening is often around that theme.

Our older group does an activity each week decided upon by the young people themselves. Apart from that there is time to chill out, relax, or play table tennis or snooker we are christian based group and this does affect what we do and we always close by saying a prayer.

We are a lively group, and enjoy what we do. You are welcome to join us, and bring a friend too

Messy Church

Messy Church meets once a month, normally on the first Sunday of the month at 4pm. Messy Church is for famalies with infant and pre-school children. Each month parents can do messy activities with their children, a short time of worship and eat together at the end. There is also a space for babies and parents to play.
